Our ‘Taste Test Challenge’ campaign for Sainsbury’s saw Cosine receive a Gold
award, and here’s some of the reasons why:

  • Unique creative elements to encourage customers to switch from branded to own label.
  • We successfully recruited 589 tactical samplers to compliment existing team across 400 stores.
  • A dedicated Project team was assigned at beginning of activity, planning 8 weeks prior to live date
  • Over 600,000 customer samples given over an 8 day activity
  • Sainsbury’s saw significant incremental revenue uplift throughout the activity and + 12 Weeks post, for their own label products sampled.
  • Our selective recruitment meant we were hugely effective in achieving a high store compliance of 98.5%.
  • The proportion of customers who said they were going to buy rose from 28% before sampling, to 76% afterwards.

Overall this campaign was viewed by Sainsbury’s and Cosine as a huge success due to; fantastic sales uplift, increase in customer awareness and perception of it’s own label products, good communication and management of the event and clear and effective messages communicated to customers in an engaging way
